If Dita Von Teese had a secret life as a Colombian comedy producer from Queens who counted favorites at The Daily Show as friends and collaborators, she would have much in common with our heroine - writer, producer, and filmmaker Jessica Flores.
At 24, Jessica found herself in love, pregnant and (with no one more surprised than her), headed briskly toward the spotlight of domesticity rather than the bright lights of her next comedy show. As expected, she was just a tad freaked out (though you’d never know it, because, hello! classy dame, that one).
To help navigate being the bearer of both red lipstick and regular late-night feedings, Jessica created DomesticatedMe, a lifestyle website for the domestic diva in all of us. Her digital presence grew quickly, as young moms connected with her love of vintage fashion (her pin-up wedding was the stuff of legend), pop-culture-inspired make-up looks, and of course, knock-your-heels-off sense of humor.
These days, Jessica (along with daughter Catalina), share how to look and feel fabulous in just a few minutes through outfit ideas, healthy meals, DIY tutorials, giveaways and event coverage. Most recently, Jessica was featured on Latina.com as the winner of their NYFW-inspired beauty look challenge. Her Brooch Bouquet tutorial was also names the #1 Wedding Inspiration Post on EverythingWeddings&More.net
